In the context of global change processes – for example, climate, demographic and structural change in rural areas and agriculture as well as globalisation – innovations are of central importance for the sustainable development of rural areas. In addition, the legal and funding frameworks in the areas of agricultural policy, environmental and climate protection, and regional development are subject to constant change.
Against this background, we provide consultancy services to state governments on rural development programmes and support LEADER regions and large protected areas in developing future-oriented approaches. In addition, we are active in project consultancy and development as well as funding consultancy.
On behalf of various German federal states, we are in charge of Innovation Support Services (ISS) for EIP-AGRI – the European Innovation Partnership ‘Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability’. We provide consultancy services and support to operational groups from the initial idea to the submission of applications and implementation of their projects, to securing the results and transferring the newly acquired knowledge into practice. In this context, we also strengthen networking and the exchange of experience as core elements of Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS)
