In addition to examining the structural prerequisites for establishing bio-regional value chains, the RegioWertGeBen project also explores issues related to communication processes and the institutional framework for communication: What information is communicated regarding bio-regional vegetables throughout the value chain, from cultivation to institutional food service, and what is the need for information? What lines of argument do actors in bio-regional value chains follow in their communication?
Findings on this topic are provided in a recently published report developed by the project partners at Justus Liebig University Giessen: „Kommunikation entlang bio-regionaler Wertschöpfungsketten in der Gemeinschaftsverpflegung“ (https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20347064). Materials such as websites and social media posts were analyzed for content, and interviews and focus groups were conducted with the various stakeholder groups in bio-regional value chains.
