With its action plan „Organic from Baden-Württemberg“, the federal state of Baden-Württemberg aims to improve the framework conditions for organic farming in the region. The action plan focuses on the production, processing and marketing of organic products and organic food from Baden-Württemberg as well as corresponding consumer information.
The action plan from 2012 was already updated in 2020 and is now to be updated once again under the leadership of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Food, Rural Areas and Consumer Protection (MLR).
The IfLS carried out an interim evaluation of the action plan in 2023 and has now been commissioned with the next steps.
The results of the evaluation form the basis for the further development of the action plan. In a broad participation process with stakeholders along the organic value chain in Baden-Württemberg, new starting points will now be jointly discussed and representatives from production, processing and marketing as well as professional associations, science, politics and administration will be able to contribute their ideas and visions.
The IfLS will use the results of the consultation to update the action plan in close cooperation with the MLR.
