Kickoff event for the further development of Baden-Württemberg’s Organic Action Plan

This year, Baden-Württemberg is continuing its action plan “Organic from Baden-Württemberg” with the aim of further improving the framework conditions for organic farming and the entire organic sector in the state. To this end, the IfLS was commissioned by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Food, Rural Affairs, and Consumer Protection (MLR) to organize, facilitate, and document a participatory process comprising several events.

On March 31, 2025, the kick-off event took place with nearly 100 participants from the business sector, agricultural practice, academia, and institutional bodies. Key topics of the day included:

• Organic in processing
• Organic in education and training
• Organic in foodservice
• Organic in marketing

The market and demands on the organic sector are constantly evolving. Consumer interests, legal requirements, and economic challenges present new challenges for production and sales. To respond effectively, strategic approaches and targeted measures are needed. This event marks a first step toward the future-oriented development of the action plan.
