Project details

R+D project "Insect protection measures and potentials for those in large protected areas" (conference series)

The large protected areas cover more than 30% of the German federal territory. Here in particular, insect protection measures could have a measurable effect on the area, the improvement of biodiversity and consequently of insect protection. Since nature parks and biosphere reserves in particular hardly have any land sovereignty, they are dependent on good cooperation in their perspective regions. If successfully implemented, it can lead to strong diffusion into society.

In order to discuss the potentials, exchange success strategies and initiate joint developments, the IfLS organizes two conferences on behalf of the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation.

These conferences will take place in 2022 and 2023 in northern and southern Germany. At the end of the project, the results will be summarized and published in a script.
