he current German state programs of the European Cohesion Politics 2014 – 2020 offer a wide range of support opportunities for protection and improvement of nature and environment. These instruments are directed at actors at the local level. However, raising complexity of criteria and regulations are over demanding tasks for the target group and lead to a decrease in applications for EU funding programs.
Therefore, the Federal Environment Agency (UBA), Germany, hired a project consortium, i.e. “TAURUS EVO Consulting GmbH”, “e-fect dialog evaluation consulting eG” and the “Institute for Rural Development Research”(IfLS). Since the beginning of the funding period, it was their task to create a guide, which provides information on funding opportunities for sustainable and eco-friendly projects for local and municipal actors/players.
The task of the IfLS was to specifically look at funding opportunities within the EAFRD program.
