IfLS Beratung und Projekte GmbH supported several LEADER regions in Hesse with interim evaluations during the current funding period. The focus is on the extent to which the objectives and areas of action set out in the Local Development Strategies (LES) have been implemented to date. To this end, the status of project implementation, the commitment and expenditure of funds, and the impacts to date in key areas such as public services, tourism and culture, digitalisation, and support for micro-enterprises were examined.
Support was provided at varying levels of depth depending on the region’s needs: this ranged from the design and facilitation of evaluation and reflection workshops with regional bodies and stakeholders to in-depth analyses of documents, data and results. On this basis, strengths, challenges and areas requiring adaptation were identified, which serve as a guide for the second half of the funding period and support the further development of regional development work.
The LEADER regions of Hersfeld-Rotenburg, Marburger Land, Wetterau/Oberhessen and Lahn-Dill-Wetzlar were supported in this process.
