The IfLS is carrying out the evaluation of the German CAP Strategic Plan in collaboration with the Thünen Institute of Rural Development, the Triesdorf Research Group for Agricultural and Regional Development (ART) and Gerald Wagner Regional Research & Consulting.
The client is the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Home Affairs.
The commission focuses on three key areas:
• SO 8 – the assessment of the CAP Strategic Plan’s contributions to economic development, social participation and quality of life in rural areas,
• the added value of LEADER,
• and the cross-cutting objective of gender equality.
The evaluation follows European guidelines for assessing effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, coherence and EU added value. The aim is to provide clear and practical insights that contribute to the further development of CAP funding in the field of rural development.
