The Erasmus+ project “Actions for a Circular Society through Education – ACE” aims to promote a circular society. The concept of the circular economy has gained increasing importance in recent years and has established itself as an approach that combines sustainable development with a frequently regional focus. The circular society approach goes beyond ‘economic activity’ and considers, amongst other things, lifestyles and social norms, social participation, issues of fairness, and collective responsibility.
As an adult education project, ACE aims to disseminate the concept of the circular society. To this end, information and learning materials are to be developed for organisations in the adult education sector. These will present the concept and guiding principles. Successful practical examples will be compiled to demonstrate how a Circular Society can be promoted. In addition to developing this toolkit, workshops will be held to impart knowledge, encourage exchange and support the practical implementation of circular approaches.
The project is coordinated by the Institute for Rural Structural Research and implemented in collaboration with the following partners: Asociación de Profesionais de Desenvolvemento Local de Galicia (ES), SWIDEAS AB (SE), Wspierania Wiezi Lokalnych ‘Linking Foundation’ (PL)
