Working together towards successful conflict management

Cooperation in innovation and networking projects represents a very special situation. People from different fields, with different interests and working methods come together and often work together for the first time on innovative approaches to solving complex problems and issues. Heated debates, intense discussions and thus conflicts are therefore inevitable.

In the joint EIP-Agri Networking Workshop of the states of Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate on 21 November 2019 in Limburg under the title "From your own position to common interests", speakers Nicola von Kutzleben (IfLS) and Dr. Beate Formowitz (LLH) presented the building blocks of successful conflict management. Nearly 30 participants from existing and future operational groups (OGs), cooperations as well as from the administration exchanged views on the challenges of transdisciplinary work and learned about methods for conflict resolution in the project context as well as models of conflict-preventive communication. In addition to the "moving" tasks and short inputs, the participants also had the opportunity to exchange information about their respective projects during the various group work or networking breaks.

The IfLS advises, networks and, as an innovation service provider, supports the OGs and cooperations in Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate in the implementation and planning of the projects.
