Sharing knowledge: Practical workshop in Itzehoe

From 23 October 2025 to 25 October 2025, we held our final project workshop, which this time took place in Itzehoe (Schleswig-Holstein). Here, we visited the K9 KulturBahnhof Viktoria, a socio-cultural project centre housed in the town’s old railway station building. Various cultural and artistic practitioners from the region use the KulturBahnhof for their projects, meaning it has now established itself as a local hub and venue for collaboration. The establishment, design and further development of the project were driven forward from 2014 onwards by the K9 association as a bottom-up initiative and financially supported through various funding programmes (e.g. LEADER and the Socio-Culture Fund). The project is now in its consolidation phase.

The workshop focused on the following programme points:

  • Practical insights: As part of the workshop, the K9 KulturBahnhof Viktoria was able to provide workshop participants with practical insights into their work, e.g. through a visit to the collaborating cultural venue “Planet Alsen”
  • Input and discussion of research findings: The findings of the AMuRaKK research project were first presented and then discussed in a joint exchange with the cultural initiatives, with examples added.
  • Discussion of the action guide: A key outcome of the AMuRaKK project is a guide for cultural start-ups and providers of funding opportunities. The aim of the workshop in Itzehoe was to further develop this guide based on feedback from the cultural initiatives.
  • Networking and joint conclusion of the project: As with the previous workshops, our meeting in Itzehoe also served to facilitate networking among all workshop participants.
