On 26 June, the IfLS, together with its project partners (the Triesdorf Research Group for Agricultural and Regional Development and Unique Landuse), had the opportunity to present key findings from the ex-post evaluation of the Baden-Württemberg Rural Area Action and Development Plan 2014–2020 (MEPL-III) at the meeting of the MEPL-III Monitoring Committee.
The MEPL-III comprised a wide range of funding programmes for agriculture, forestry, rural development and nature parks, and was administered by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry for Rural Affairs, Agriculture and Home Affairs.
The evaluation provides important insights into the implementation and effectiveness of the programme and supports the further development of funding policy in both the current and forthcoming funding periods. The final evaluation report is expected to be available by the end of 2026.
The day before, field trips to selected funded projects in Baden-Württemberg offered fascinating practical insights. On site, it became clear just how diverse the impact of the funding measures is. Discussions with the project managers provided valuable input and complemented the technical discussions of the Monitoring Committees in a vivid way.
