Sustainable development goals for three Rhineland-Palatinate municipalities

In the first quarter of 2023, the city of Speyer, the municipality of Sprendlingen-Gensingen and the municipality of Deidesheim worked on the development of sustainable development goals. For this purpose, a workshop was held in each municipality with regional stakeholders and initial cornerstones were worked on together at topic tables in the fields of action. By the summer, the goals will be further elaborated and measures will be finalised in a next workshop in each of the municipalities.

The project "Globally Sustainable Municipality Palatinate" (link in German) aims to support municipalities in implementing the 2030 Agenda. For this purpose, municipal sustainability strategies with SDG action plans are to be developed for the city of Speyer, the municipality of Sprendlingen-Gensingen and the municipality of Deidesheim.

The Pfälzerwald Biosphere Reserve is implementing the project together with the Service Agency Kommunen in der Einen Welt (SKEW) of Engagement Global, which is also the main funding body.

IfLS Consulting and Projects accompanies and advises the participating municipalities in the development of the action plans.
