After one and a half years, the preparation of the nature park plan for the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park came to a successful ending on 18 July 2023 with an interactive final event in and in front of the Orketalhalle Vöhl-Ederbringhausen. More than 60 partners and interested parties, many of whom were actively involved in the nature park planning, attended the event.
After the welcome by Jürgen van der Horst (District Administrator of the Waldeck-Frankenberg district) and Kristin Gampfer (Head of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park office), the short film produced in the course of the nature park planning was broadcast for the first time. In the explanatory film, the tasks, goals and future projects of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park are described in a clear and easily understandable way.
Afterwards, the participants had the opportunity to learn more about the planned projects in the context of a poster exhibition.In addition to the input on content, there was also the opportunity to go directly into the field. Together with the nature park guides, the participants were able to learn more about biodiversity and water quality in the nearby Orke river and thus actively participate in an educational programme for sustainable development - a field of action in which the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park has a lot of plans for the future. The final event ended with a dinner for all nature park enthusiasts and exciting discussions.IfLS Beratung und Projekte GmbH has accompanied the project for the last one and a half years, carried out numerous participation steps and drafted the plan in close cooperation with the office of the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park Association, partners and members.
