As part of the large-scale nature conservation project ‘Wispertaunus’, the project support working group (PAG) met on 15 June 2026 to discuss key issues relating to the upcoming final phase. The IfLS is supporting the project in the area of conflict and acceptance analysis, contributing its expertise in areas such as the facilitation of events and the systematic identification and categorisation of potential areas of conflict.
The meeting focused on the remaining project duration until December 2027. The current status and prospects for the final phase were discussed jointly. Particular attention was paid to future areas for development within the project area, addressing outstanding issues, and preparing for the transition to a possible second project phase.
The aim of the large-scale Wispertaunus nature conservation project is, above all, to connect and preserve natural forests and to promote their sustainable use in harmony with nature and species conservation.
