Leading projects for the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park

As part of the nature park planning for the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park, the lead project workshop took place on January 31, 2023 in the Wandelhalle in the Kurpark in Bad Wildungen. Together with around 40 participants, project ideas collected in advance were brought to life and further elaborated on the basis of oversized project descriptions.

In the nature park plan, the lead projects - in addition to the numerous ongoing tasks and continuously carried out services - represent the central measures with particular luminosity for implementing the target strategy developed in the process. Since the involvement of the population and central (expert) partners is an important component in the development of the entire nature park plan, they were also included in the development of nine lead projects:

  • Ehrensache Natur - Engagiert euch im Naturschutz
  • Insektenparadiese fördern
  • Sternenpark Kellerwald-Edersee
  • Qualitätskampagne BNE
  • NaturparkMobil zur Förderung einer BNE
  • Digitaler Naturpark Kellerwald-Edersee
  • Digital Eintrittsportale
  • Weiterentwicklung der Arche-Region Kellerwald, Frankenau und Umgebung
  • Weiterentwicklung der Qualitätsregion Wanderbares Deutschland

The IfLS has been supporting the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park since spring 2022 in the preparation of the new nature park plan, which represents the guideline for the development of the nature park over the next 10 years.
