Innovations and cooperation at the Eco-Field Days 2022

From June 28th to 3oth this year's Eco-Field Days at the Hessian State Domain Gladbacherhof in Villmar showcased everything that organic farming has to offer. EIP-Agri (European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability) projects and information on the promotion of innovation and cooperation in Hesse [link in German] were also presented through various lectures and information material.

On more than 20 hectares, almost 12,000 visitors were able to experience all that the sector has to offer at this year's Organic Field Days. The focus was on the innovative power and diversity of organic agriculture - it was therefore obvious that EIP-Agri projects would also be represented in large numbers. In addition to the project booths of the various lead partners (e.g. University of Giessen, Dottenfelder Hof or the Association for Organic Farming), where various EIP-Agri projects were presented, the promotion of innovation and cooperation was also an important topic in promoted by the State Office for Agriculture Hessen (LLH). While a consultation hour on EIP-Agri was offered every morning at the booth of the Regional Council of Giessen, individual projects furthermore presented themselves in dialogue rounds in the LLH Speakers Corner - for example, the OG Organic Cereal Seeds, the OG Animal Welfare Dairy Cattle Hesse or the OG Hemp Farmers Werra-Meißner [links in German].

IfLS Beratung und Projekte GmbH, the Hessian innovation service provider, was also represented. Together with Leonie Göbel from the DVS, Svea Thietje from the IfLS discussed the added value and opportunities of the EIP-Agri funding programme in a panel dialogue on 29.06.2022 entitled "Researching together for sustainable agriculture - implementing ideas with EIP-Agri in Hesse, Germany and EU-wide".

All presentations and dialogue rounds in the LLH Speakers Corner will soon be available for viewing on the LLH YouTube channel.
