iCEAR and INSPIRE at the INTERREG Annual Conference ‘let’s cooperate 2026’

On 16 and 17 April 2026, this year’s meeting of the 258 INTERREG Europe projects approved for the current funding period took place in Copenhagen. The event, attended by over 600 participants, gave us the opportunity to learn from one another and discuss best practices and examples relating to the five priority themes of INTERREG Europe. These are, in the current funding period:

1. A smarter Europe

2. A greener, low-carbon Europe

3. A more connected Europe

4. A more social Europe

5. A Europe closer to its citizens / Governance

As a partner in the INSPIRE project and lead partner in the iCEAR project, we were very interested in new smart solutions at village level as well as new approaches in the field of the circular economy in rural Europe.

The day before, we had the opportunity to discuss the future of the ‘Interreg Europe’ programme. Over 200 representatives of the lead partners from all three calls for proposals were present. The INTERREG programme strand will continue in the future. We are keen to see how the programme will be structured.
