Future prospects for the Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park

On 31.08.2020, 17 representatives of the association Kellerwald-Edersee Nature Park met in the town hall of Fritzlar (under adherence to the valid Corona rules) to discuss in a strategy workshop the need for action in and development perspectives of the nature park.

Starting with a short review of what has been achieved so far by the managing director Mrs. Gampfer, the participants discussed strategies, goals and previous projects of the Nature Park in the fields of action 'Nature conservation and landscape management', 'Recreation and sustainable tourism', 'Education for sustainable development (BNE)', 'Sustainable regional development' and 'Management of the Edersee'. In the evaluation round, which was subsequently moderated by Dr. Gehrlein from the Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS), numerous approaches and project ideas for the further work of the Nature Park and the regional cooperation of relevant actors were collected, which will be integrated into a joint strategy in the future.
