After four years of running the project, the final conference of the CityZen project took place in Sofia from 11 - 12 May 2023.
Representatives from the five partner countries gathered at the National Palace of Culture in Sofia to present and discuss the results of the INTERREG Europe project.
Following the welcome by the Mayor of Sofia and a representative of the INTERREG Europe Secretariat, practical partners spoke about their approaches to strengthening urban agriculture. In the framework of a panel discussion, political control approaches and the further development of funding instruments were discussed in depth with regard to the support of corresponding approaches.
The representatives of the Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS) together with the management of the Frankfurt-Rhine-Main Regional Park, were present as implementation partners and contributed their experiences and conclusions to the discussion.
