At the conference “Culture Moves the Countryside – In Dialogue with Research and Practice” on 16 March 2026, the findings from 22 BULEplus research projects under the “Faktor K” initiative on the role of art and culture in rural areas were presented.
Researchers, stakeholders from the arts and culture, politics and public administration discussed key challenges and practical recommendations for action.
This was followed on 17 March by the internal and final networking event, at which recommendations for action were drawn up for policymakers and public administration.
The IfLS was present alongside the University of Bonn (Institute for Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology/Empirical Cultural Studies and Cultural Anthropology) to present the results of the AMuRaKK project.
One key outcome is the Practical Guide for Cultural Start-ups (in rural areas). This is based on the experiences of the AMuRaKK cultural projects and is intended to make it easier for new actors to get started in the future.
This marks the conclusion of the AMuRaKK project. The IfLS would like to thank BULEplus and the BMLEH for making this valuable, practice-oriented project possible, Prof. Dr Ove Sutter and Dr Victoria Huszka from the University of Bonn for their warm and successful collaboration, and finally the participants in the four practical projects for their active support and their time.
