Communication for forest nature conservation and sustainable forest management - Let's get together!

At the networking meeting on May 25, 2023 in Rottenburg a. N., nine research projects from Hesse, Saxony and Baden-Wuerttemberg funded by the Agency Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e.V. (FNR) exchanged ideas on possible points of contact. The projects, including the NaBioKom project, jointly pursue the goal of improving communication for forest nature conservation and sustainable forest management.  In doing so, they take different perspectives and set different focal points, including thematic and target group-related ones.

In addition to the IfLS, scientific staff from the Rottenburg University of Applied Forest Sciences, the Technical University of Dresden, the University of Freiburg, the Forest Research Institute (FVA) Freiburg, the Technical University of Darmstadt and the Institute for Social-Ecological Research in Frankfurt (ISOE) were present. The meeting promoted an informal exchange between the participants. They each gave a short project overview. In the subsequent exchange, points of contact and synergies on dialogue topics, methodological approaches, relevant experts, basic research and regional references were identified. In order to deepen the points of contact, a further virtual meeting is already planned for June.
