Successful outcome of the "Global Sustainable Municipality Palatinate" project in Speyer

The joint project "Global Sustainable Municipality Palatinate" (GNK Pfalz) came to an end at a joint networking event on December 7, 2023 in Speyer. The project ran from the beginning of 2022 to the end of 2023, and representatives from the two participating municipalities of Deidesheim and Sprendlingen-Gensingen and the city of Speyer came together to present and celebrate the results of their work. The final networking event not only recognized the milestones achieved, but also offered an outlook on potential future activities and exchanges. The participating municipalities can look back on a successful collaboration and are optimistic that the connections and insights created by the project will continue to contribute to sustainable development in the future.

IfLS Consulting and Projects conducted a total of four workshops in each municipality, in which the participating stakeholders developed their municipal sustainability strategies. The IfLS then supported them in drafting the municipal sustainability strategies.

In addition, the IfLS prepared sustainability reports for the city of Speyer and the municipality of Deidesheim in accordance with the German Local Sustainability Reporting Framework (BNK) helps local authorities make their progress on sustainable development measurable, thus giving them greater control.

The GNK Pfalz project was an initiative of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, the Palatinate Forest Biosphere Reserve and the Service Agency Communities In One World. IfLS Consulting and Projects provided support in terms of content.
