Evaluation

In order to systematically investigate the benefits of policy instruments, we carry out evaluations in various areas of rural development.

The focus is on the forward-looking ex-ante evaluation, the accompanying and retrospective evaluation of rural development programmes and their various measures. These include not only measures to promote knowledge transfer and innovation, but also measures to strengthen competitiveness and measures to promote organisations in the food chain and risk management. We also evaluate agri-environmental and climate protection measures as well as LEADER and cooperation measures.

In addition, we offer support services in the field of LEADER self-evaluation in order to support regions during the seven-year funding period in reflecting on their work and achieving their goals in a better way.

We are also active in the evaluation of large protected areas. This involves measuring performance based on defined indicators. The focus is on biosphere reserves, nature parks, national parks and PLENUM areas.

Our clients are the European Commission, state governments of the federal states and regional organisational units.
