The arrangement of governance and institutional structures is a main success factor in implementing integrated rural development programs. This study analyzes German and European approaches and structures regarding integreated rural development in order to identify their transferability to developing countries.
This study is part of the GIZ sector project "territorial development in rural areas", which improves concepts and instruments of the German development cooperation regarding the fight against poverty and the sustainalbe rural development and implements new approaches in selected partner countries.
