Synthesis and assessment of the public debate on the reform of the CAP after 2013

The project “Synthesis and assessment of the public debate on the reform of the CAP after 2013” is a cooperative project between J. W. Goethe University Frankfurt/Main and the IfLS. It is supported by the Landwirtschaftliche Rentenbank.

The aim of the project is to describe and assess the public debate following the presentation of proposals for the CAP after 2013 by the European Commission in November 2010. In order to do so, researchers cooperating with the IfLS are collecting and analysing relevant statements made by stakeholders, such as famers’ unions, representatives of the public sector or environmental organizations, in ten European countries. The conclusions drawn from the analysis and comparisons of these country reports will be presented and discussed at an international conference planned for 9th March 2012.
