Monitoring of the LEADER selection procedure

For the recognition as a LEADER region, regions of all federal states compete in an extensive selection process. IfLS had been entrusted with monitoring and evaluating these processes in three federal states. Our tasks mainly entailed:

  1. Development of evaluation criteria
  2. Elaboration of contest documents
  3. Training of the regions regarding specific topics within strategy and organisational development
  4. Assessment of submitted development concepts

IfLS accompanied the following states:

  • 2013-2014: Baden-Wuerttemberg; in cooperation with Forschungsgruppe Agrar- und Regionalentwicklung Triesdorf (ART)
  • 2014-2015: Thuringia; in cooperation with Institut für Regionalmanagement (IfR)
  • 2015: Lower Saxony
