Project details

Globally Sustainable Municipality Palatinate

The project "Globally Sustainable Community (GNK)" Palatinate supports municipalities in the Palatinate Forest in the local implementation of the 17 SDGs of the Agenda 2030. In this context, the IfLS Consulting and Projects in a cooperation with the Institute for Rural Development Research (IfLS) advises municipalities in the Palatinate Forest on the way to a more sustainable development.

The project is based on two pillars:

In the first pillar, eight municipalities from the previous project "Palatinate Forest: SDG Model Region for a Sustainable Rhineland-Palatinate" (2019-2021) are supported in the practical implementation of their goals.

In the second pillar, the IfLS assists three further municipalities in developing their own sustainability report and sustainability strategy (SDG action plan).

In addition to content-related consulting, a participatory process with exchange events and workshops in and between the municipalities leads to a coordinated development of the action plans.

The Biosphere Reserve Pfälzerwald-Nordvogesen in cooperation with the SKEW - Service Agency Communities in One World (SKEW) of Engagement Global is coordinating the process.
