Project details

Evaluation of organic farming in Bavaria

Bavaria has the largest number of organic farms of all German states. However, rising demand for organic products can only be partly met by local products. Therefore the Bavarian ministry for food, agriculture and forestry has assigned the IfLS and others to conduct an analysis of the shortcomings and potentials of organic farming in Bavaria. The aim of this project is to identify restraints for the growth of regional organic products and offer improvement possibilities.

The IfLS will be analyzing the control system for organic food and the commodity flow of organic products.
