Evaluation of investment promotion within the framework of the common organization of the market in wine

Commissioned by the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, Food, Viticulture and Forestry (MULEWF), the IfLS evaluates the support of investment measures within the framework of the common organization of the market in vine (GMO-Wein). The investments are supposed to increase the competitiveness of businesses in the vine sector and improve their adaptation to the market demand in the EU and worldwide. For that reason are cellaring and marketing-related investments subsidized since 2009 and also structural modifications since 2010. Evaluated are big and small investments of wineries and producer organizations (EZG) as well as of businesses involved in processing and marketing (UVV).

On the one hand, existing data from the application documents are analyzed. On the other hand are data collected and evaluated through interviews and written surveys from a random sample of wineries, producer organizations and businesses involved in processing and marketing.
