On 19 March, the IfLS organised an inter-state networking workshop in Wiesbaden-Naurod on behalf of the Hessian Ministry of Agriculture and the Environment, Viticulture, Forestry, Hunting and Regional Identity and in cooperation with the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Under the title ‘Cooperation that (doesn’t) work – Effective collaboration in operational groups and consortia’, more than 40 participants from Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate came together to discuss cooperation in transdisciplinary projects.
The focus was on the question of how effective collaboration can be achieved in operational groups and consortia. Where practice, science, consultancy and agribusiness work together, different perspectives, experiences and working methods come into play. This offers great potential for innovation, but also presents challenges – for example, in clarifying roles, handling data and technical tools, or in communication between the partners involved.
The networking event provided an opportunity to address these questions together and share experiences from the projects. The programme combined project presentations from Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate with an interactive discussion on the challenges and potential of collaboration, as well as a workshop on successful collaboration in transdisciplinary groups.
As an innovation service provider for Hesse and Rhineland-Palatinate, the IfLS supports networking and exchange among stakeholders in both federal states. The workshop provided an important impetus for this and strengthened cross-state cooperation within the framework of EIP-Agri and the promotion of collaboration.
