Since March 2020, municipalities in rural areas throughout Europe have been able to apply for support on the way to a 'Smart Village' within the framework of the EU-funded 'Smart Rural Project'. The IfLS is responsible for the application process in Germany.
The application deadline has now been extended to May 11th, 2020!

Further information on the project and the activities of the EU member states can be found on the new website at www.smartrural21.eu, which will be continuously updated. Here, approaches from the future "Smart Villages" from different geographical and thematic contexts are published in a database. A "Roadmap" section offers practical tips in various formats (e.g. explanatory videos).
