New money for innovations in Hessian agriculture

At the 71st Agricultural Week North Hesse in Baunatal, representatives of a total of five so-called Operational Groups (OGs) and one cooperation received notifications of approval for funding totalling almost two million euros. "In order to respond to global challenges such as global food security, climate change or resource scarcity, we need new and creative ideas that start at the regional level. I am therefore pleased to be able to present funding decisions today to six good and interesting projects that implement innovative approaches to strengthening agriculture and rural areas," said Hesse's Minister of State Priska Hinz at the presentation of the funding decisions to agricultural projects that develop and test progressive ideas through innovation and cooperation.

Like their predecessors, the Hessian OGs Apfelland-Initiative, Hanfanbauer Werra-Meißner, HessenStern, ÖkoSaat and KasPEr as well as cooperation Hessenfleisch are now facing the challenges of their projects. As the Hessian Innovation Service Provider (IDL), the IfLS supports and networks the approved OGs and cooperations in their implementation. The IfLS had already supported the groups in the application phase and supported the process as a whole by involving further experts.

Further information on the approved projects will soon be available on the website of the Hessian Ministry for the Environment, Climate Protection, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.
