Kellerwald-Edersee LEADER region goes into closed meeting at the start of the new funding period

The Kellerwald Edersee region has once again been recognised as a LEADER region. For the next five years of the EU funding period from 2023 to 2027, the region will once again have access to funding for the implementation of projects in areas such as equal living conditions & services of general interest, economic development & regional supply structures, recreational areas for local recreation & rural tourism and bioeconomy.

The Kellerwald-Edersee association and the regional management took this as an opportunity to meet with its board and municipal representatives and inform them about the start of the new funding period and the past projects at a closed meeting. The aim of the meeting was also to jointly coordinate further projects and to discuss and agree on new priorities and the next steps.

IfLS Beratung & Projekte GmbH took over the moderation of the LEADER retreat on 7 November 2023 at the Kurhaus Bad Zwesten and supported the region's regional manager Lisa Küpper in running the meeting.

Besides an insight into the financial plan and the appeal for the regional budget, one of the main items on the agenda was the discussion and coordination of possible projects under the responsibility of the nature park/regional development association/ Kellerwaldverein. The focus was on four topics: new forms of housing, settlement management, co-working and the involvement of young people.

Finally, the anniversary - 30 years of regional development - and the future development of the corporate design of regional development were discussed.
The conference was followed by a get-together with further conversation over "regional delicacies".
