More than 40 people attended the kick-off event for the creation of the Local Integrated Rural Development Strategy for the "Rhine-Haardt" region in Grünstadt on 6 September.
The process for the preparation of the strategy was presented at the event: Within the framework of a participatory procedure, the strategy is being developed in a total of eight expert group meetings. This is the basis for the application for recognition as a LEADER region in the 2023-2029 funding period. In this way, the region would like to build on the successes of the previous funding period and continue to develop the region in the future under the motto "Living and working between the metropolises - together into a sustainable future" in the fields of action "Tourism & local recreation", "Village & urban development" and "Regional economy, land management and cultural landscape" as well as "Energy, climate protection and future mobility".
