On October 07th, a two-hour online workshop took place to present a freely accessible training program for newcomers and lateral entrants to ecological and sustainable agriculture. Twelve interested parties, including newcomers and multipliers, took part.
The training materials presented are the result of the international LEAN project ('Learning on Entrepreneurship & Agriculture for New farmers') supported by ERASMUS+, which supports newcomers to agriculture in developing their business according to the principles of organic farming.
The training materials consist of ten interactive modules on basics, different farm sectors (animal husbandry, beekeeping, fruit, vegetable and wine growing) and entrepreneurial content. In addition, case studies provide insights into already successfully implemented agricultural projects from the five partner countries France, Poland, Lithuania, Italy and Germany. Farmers share their experiences and challenges and give tips to newcomers and lateral entrants.
Multiplier workshops were also held in other partner countries. This marks the end of the LEAN project, which started in 2018.
