Goals and project ideas for the future of the Geo-Nature Park Bergstraße-Odenwald

On Wednesday, June 12th, the preparation of the Geo-Nature Park plan for the UNESCO Geo-Nature Park "Bergstrasse Odenwald" went into another round. With specialist actors, experts and partners, the head office together with the IfLS office discussed and developed goals and project ideas for the next 10 years. The foundation for this was the completed inventory and an analysis of the strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and risks as well as the potential for action derived from it.

The focus was on the topics of "Environmental education and training for sustainable development", "Sustainable regional development", "Tourism and local recreation" and "Nature, culture and geology".

Dr. Fey (head of the office) concluded the event with the words: "We are pleased about the lively exchange across all topics and the joint development of future perspectives".

The results of this day will now lead to internal strategy workshops and will be further concretized in further specialist group meetings in September.
