From the everyday life of innovation promotion: Easter eggs under the poinsettia?!

On March 29, around 200 participants were able to inform themselves about EU innovation funding in Hesse at the Ständehaus in Kassel. The "Hessian Minister for Federal and European Affairs and Plenipotentiary of the State of Hesse to the Federal Government" Lucia Puttrich, together with the ministries responsible for the EU funds EAFRD, ESF and ERDF, had invited to the regional conference. The participants had the opportunity to get an idea of the various funding instruments and to talk to those responsible.

As an innovation service provider, the Institute for Rural Structural Research was available to answer questions on the European Innovation Partnership "Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability" (EIP-Agri), which is funded by the EAFRD. In addition, Nicola von Kutzleben and Dr. Becker gave an insight into their daily routine and talked about funding opportunities for a possible innovation on the subject of sustainable poinsettias that can be used longer.

By the way, the innovative project idea was approved in December 2018, so that in a few years it might be possible to buy "Hessian stars" which are still beautiful to look at at Easter and make a contribution to climate protection with their peat-free substrate.
