Ensuring the relevance of research results through the exchange of experts

On October 24th, 2019, the BioFinance expert workshop "Alternative financing in ecological agriculture and food industry - which models are suitable for whom?" took place in Frankfurt a.M.. The project team presented the results to date in a stimulating mix of PowerPoint, flipchart and wall newspapers. Uwe Greff, Gernot Meyer and Mona Knorr provided interesting impulses in the areas of law, financing and consulting with regard to the alternative financing models examined.

To facilitate finding a suitable financing model, the results are currently being used to create an online-based decision-making aid for capital-taking companies and capital providers. A first draft of the decision support was presented and subsequently discussed. Through the discussion of the results and recommendations for action with the experts, the greatest possible practical relevance of the research and the dissemination of the results is to be achieved.

Overall, the participants of the workshop confirm the presented results and consider them to be representative. In addition, the discussions resulted in new aspects and suggestions for improvement which make an important contribution to the final phase of the project.

Current project information can be found here. The decision support is also available online on the project website.
