With more than 80 participants and a large turnout of citizens, the digital launch event for the new LEADER region "From Rhine to Wine" for the new area setting with the city of Germersheim and the municipalities of Rülzheim, Bellheim, Lingenfeld, Edenkoben and Maikammer took place on 15 July 2021.
The spirit of change in the region became particularly obvious in the four thematic small groups "Climate Protection, Sustainable Mobility, Natural Landscape", "Economy and Agriculture", "Sustainable Villages, Cities and Region" and "Tourism and Culture". Here, together with experts and representatives from politics and administration, citizens discussed specific ideas and regional approaches to action together with experts and, which had already been addressed against the background of inter-communal cooperation and networking. The topics ranged from cross-regional medical care and the upgrading of local recreation areas to the development of a connecting cycle path along the municipalities from the Rhine to the vineyards.
In the subsequent expert groups, the work on the four thematic fields will be deepened and the approaches for action will be defined in more concrete terms. Registration is possible until 30 July 2021 at: tobias.baumgaertner@kobra-online.info.
