Implementation and effectiveness of EU agri-environmental schemes established under Reg. (EEC) 2078/92 in 10 EU member states and Switzerland
The objective of the project is: to develop appropriately regionalised operational methodologies and to apply them in an analysis of the implementation and effectiveness of EU agri-environmental schemes established under Regulation 2078/92 in nine EU member states and in Switzerland. Specific emphasis is placed on developing a differentiated regionalised indicator system as a methodology for both analysing existing schemes as well as designing future agri-environmental policy measures in the EU. Research is based on existing agricultural and environmental data – on the one hand – and on information obtained through case studies, including farm household questionnaires and key person interviews carried out in two (NUTS III-) regions per country on the other.
